Currently used for meetings and events, this original schoolhouse was built in 1916 and is listed on the Washington Heritage Register and the National Register of Historic Places. Remodeled in 2002-2004, it is equipped with a full kitchen, a kitchenette, 4 ADA bathrooms, and 2 large meeting spaces on the main floor and basement. Sekiu Community Center is a wonderful venue for public and private gatherings. This currently includes weddings, memorials, celebrations, dances, parties, county meetings, school district meetings, concerts, and potlucks. Rental Information
Upstairs capacity is 135; downstairs capacity is 104. The downstairs kitchen can handle meal preparations and dishes for over 100. Parking facilitates 30.
No alcohol is permitted at the Sekiu Community Center.
Sekiu Community Center is located 52 miles from Port Angeles at 42 Rice Street in Sekiu, WA. There are two ways to get there:
1.From Port Angeles take hwy. 101 around Lake rescent toward Forks. At hwy. 113 at Sappho turn right onto hwy 113. At the Sekiu sign, turn right. At the bottom of the hill turn left on Rice Street. The community Center is located at the top of the hill.
2. From Port Angeles hwy. 101 turn right on hwy. 112 toward Clallam Bay. At the stop sign, turn right and go past Clallam Bay. At the Sekiu sign, turn right. At the bottom of the hill turn left on Rice Street. The community Center is located at the top of the hill.
